A baby son was born to a Brooklyn mother inside a cab Wednesday night, and now both are doing fine.

Even Sweeney was already in labor when she got inside a livery cab headed from Brooklyn to Manhattan in a desperate attempt to get to the hospital.

The driver called 911, but the baby just could not wait.

Finn Murray Sweeney made his debut in Midtown, at 51st Street and Seventh Avenue.

"As soon as we got into the car, I was far enough in labor that I was like 'Please lock the doors,' because I knew I was going to be stomping on them," said Even Sweeney in Midtown on Thursday.

"She pushed one big push, and his head came out like a cork," said Inez Murray, Sweeney's partner. "And whatever happens to your lungs, he just gasped and I thought, 'At least he's breathing.'"

"Baby was already delivered on her chest, she was keeping it nice and warm. And she was nice and calm and the baby was calm," said emergency medical technician Sylvia Farrell.

Finn, who came two days early, has a four-year-old big sister waiting from him back home in Brooklyn.

The couple hopes to personally thank the driver for his help.
