Family and friends paid their final respects to DJ Megatron ahead of his funeral Tuesday.
Megatron, whose real name is Corey McGriff, was shot near his home in New Brighton on March 27th.
Police are still investigating.
Those attending the viewing Monday at the International Christian Center in New Springville say McGriff will be remembered as a caring person.
"He was a positive person and he was dedicated. Dedicated to treating people nice," said McGriff's brother, Marlon McGriff.
"He was a very good sacrificer. All for the positive, not for the negative," said McGriff's brother, Marlon McGriff.
"It's sad that we all got to be here putting him to rest. He definitely didn't deserve this," said one mourner.
