Family and friends gathered in Chinatown Friday for a wake for a couple who was killed in last weekend's tour bus crash in the Bronx.

Ock Thling Wong and his wife May Ling Wong were among 15 people killed when a World Wide Tours bus flipped on its side and slid into a road sign post on Interstate 95 in Pelham Bay Park on Saturday.

The couple emigrated to the United States from China over 50 years ago, have many children and grandchildren, and were well-known in their community.

"He's very nice. Both of them are very very nice. just the nicest people you can meet. And they're down to Earth," said Karen Ng, Ock Thling Wong's nurse. And it's such a tragedy for them -- for the family."

The driver of the bus had his license suspended after the accident.

The crash, and another deadly tour bus crash in New Jersey, led to a crackdown on the bus industry, with 10 drivers being pulled off the road on Thursday.
