A Metropolitan Transportation Authority human resources worker is under investigation for allegedly taking cash bribes to fill transit worker positions.
Ronica Ganesh is suspected of promising entry-level subway mechanic positions for a fee of $1,000. The MTA Inspector General's Office is also investigating whether she changed applicant test scores for an additional $500.
It's not clear how many job seekers she could have helped.
Ganesh has been suspended without pay.
A subway car inspector Jerry Zachariah is also under investigation, but his involvement in the alleged scheme isn't clear.
The MTA says it is cooperating with the investigation.
