A British court has approved the extradition of a terror suspect wanted in an alleged plot to blow up the city's subway system.

A judge ruled Abid Naseer, 24, can be sent to the United States to stand trial.

Authorities say he was part of a group of several men accused of being connected to Al-Qaida and plotting to detonate explosives in the city's subways along with attacks in England and Norway.

Naseer is also accused of collecting bombing ingredients and conducting reconnaissance.

He faces several charges, including providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization and conspiracy to use destructive force.

Other suspects involved include El Shukrijumah, an FBI Most Wanted terrorist, along with U.S. citizens Najibullah Zazi, Zarein Ahmedzay and Adis Medunjanin.

Zazi and Ahmedzay pleaded guilty to charges of planning to detonate homemade bombs on the subway.

Medunjanin is still awaiting trial.
