A Queens man was sentenced Friday to 12 years in prison in connection with the attack on a gay man.
Daniel Rodriguez pleaded guilty last year to charges of first-degree robbery as a hate crime for the attack on Jack Price in College Point in October 2009.
In addition to the jail time, a judge also sentenced Rodriguez to five years’ probation Friday.
Last month, Daniel Aleman, who also pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery as a hate crime charges, was sentenced to eight years in prison.
The two men attacked Price outside of a deli and took his wallet while yelling anti-gay slurs. The attack was caught on surveillance video.
Price suffered numerous injuries, including a broken jaw and broken ribs.
He told NY1 that he feels the sentence is fair and is relieved that everything is over.
