The city's parks could soon be the place to go for gourmet food lovers.

The Parks Department has issued a formal request for proposals for "high-quality specialty mobile units" that would bring exotic foods to parks in all five boroughs.

The agency is hoping to lure trucks that would serve items including Belgian waffles, gelato and soups.

Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe says New Yorkers should not have to leave the park to find interesting food to eat.

The Parks Department hopes to have new fare available by this summer.
