Police are searching for the gunman involved in a shooting Wednesday on the Lower East Side.
Sources say a 33-year-old man was shot in the abdomen outside an apartment on East Second Street and Avenue C at about 9 a.m.
When an argument broke out between the suspect and his victim, they say a woman bumped her head.
Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital.
Neighbors say they feel safe despite the violence:
"I've been here for like six years and nothing. I own businesses down the block and never a problem here," said a local.
Sources say the suspect may have known his victim, but so far, no arrests have been made.
