A male model has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the gruesome killing of a Portuguese television journalist.
Renato Seabra, 20, remains in custody at Bellevue Hospital where he was being evaluated.
The body of Carlos Castro was found in a room on the 34th floor of the Intercontinental in Times Square Friday night.
Police say the 65 year old had severe head wounds and was castrated.
A family friend says the two had been dating and came to the United States in late December to see a few Broadway shows and spend New Year's Eve in Times Square.
