A Queens woman says her mother died while waiting for a city ambulance that was stuck in the snow.
Laura Freeman says her 75-year-old mother woke her up Monday morning saying she couldn't breathe.
She says it took her about 50 minutes to get through to 911. But because of snowy roads it took EMS another hour and 45 minutes to get to the house.
By that time, Freeman's mother had passed away.
Freeman says she can only blame the mayor because she believes if her street was plowed her mother would still be alive.
"Mayor Bloomberg you can't bring my mother back. And that's all I really want. I've been with her for 41 years. I miss her, she's my life. The snow will melt, but this will never fade from my memory ever," said Freeman.
City officials say the 911 system was completely overwhelmed because of the storm.
The mayor adds that they will look into whether improvements to the system are necessary.
