Nine children were hurt and a driver was seriously injured in a school bus crash in Gravesend, Brooklyn Tuesday morning.
The driver lost control of the privately-owned bus and crashed it into the front of a bank on the corner of West 6th Street and Avenue U just before 7:45 a.m.
"A lot of kids on that corner. Another five or 10 minutes later and this would have been really bad," said a witness.
"The kids were screaming, they were all in shock. The driver couldn't even talk, he was nervous," said another.
The driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The hurt children were also taken to the hospital as a precaution, but their injuries were considered minor.
