"Spider-Man" is climbing his way to new heights as opening day on Broadway draws near.

The lead producer for "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" says it brought in more than a million dollars in ticket sales -- all within the first 24 hours of the show's first preview night on Sunday.

The preview performance included five unscheduled stops as the cast and crew worked out some of the kinks.

It's taken at least $65 million to produce the show.

Sunday's first preview performance took place almost a year after it was originally scheduled.

The show is officially set to open January 11, 2011.
