Holiday Gridlock Alert Issued For Today

Drivers are being advised to leave the vehicles at home today.
It's the first gridlock alert day of the holiday season, where people are encouraged to take mass transit into the heart of Manhattan.
Also on the list, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and Tuesday, November 30th when the Rockefeller Center Tree is lit.
Officials want drivers to take the train on December 10th, as well as December 15th through the 17th.
December 22nd and 23rd round out the gridlock alert list.
