Police have arrested the teenager they say fired at an off-duty police officer while trying to rob a Brooklyn beauty salon on Saturday.

Charges are pending against 19-year-old Winston Cox.

Cox was taken into custody this morning and is now being treated for injuries he sustained during the incident.

Investigators say Cox pulled a gun during a robbery at Sabine's Hallway Beauty Salon in Clinton Hill Saturday evening.

Police say Officer Feris Jones, who was getting her hair done at the time, identified herself as an officer and ordered Cox to drop his weapon. He then opened fire, but did not hit anyone.

Jones fired back, hitting Cox at least once.
