Fans are lining up at the Javits Center this weekend to see their favorite comic book and video game heroes at Comic Con.

The three day pop culture festival has attracted tens of thousands from across the country.

Many attendees came dressed as characters from their favorite movies.

While some are getting a sneak peek at some upcoming films, many who made the trek tell NY1 they get a rush from just being there.

"It's just a place where we get to enjoy time together, we get to dress up out of the ordinary and just have fun," said Comic Con fan Joe Caputo.

"Words don't even cover it, it's a mass of humanity that are all pop culture lovers of all things -- comics, graphic novels, manga, anime, TV, film and video games," said Comic Con fan Lance Fensterman.

More than 77,000 attended the event last year.
