NYPD Announces Street Closures For 9/11 Events

In anticipation of the events in honor of the ninth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the New York City Police Department has announced the following street closures and changes to parking:

Zuccotti Park
9/7/10 from 7 p.m. to 9/10/10 11:59 p.m. - Partially Closed
9/11/10 from 12:00 a.m. to 9/12/10 12:01 a.m. – Completely Closed

Liberty Street between Broadway and Church Street
9/7/10 from 7:00 p.m. to 9/12/10 at 12:01 a.m. – No Vehicle Traffic, No Parking, Limited Pedestrian Access

Liberty Street Bridge
9/11/10 from 12:00 a.m. to 9/12/10 at 12:01 a.m. – Completely Closed
Pedestrians will be directed North to the Vesey Street Pedestrian Bridge or South to cross at street level at Albany / Carlisle Streets

Albany Street between Greenwich and West Streets
9/10/10 from 9:00 p.m. to 9/12/10 at 12:01 a.m. – No Vehicle Traffic, No Parking, Pedestrian Access Limited

Carlisle Street between Greenwich and West Streets
9/10/10 from 9:00 p.m. to 9/12/10 at 12:01 a.m. - – No Vehicle Traffic, No Parking, Open to Pedestrians Only

Thames Street between Broadway and Greenwich Street

Cedar Street between Broadway and Church / Trinity Place

Church Street / Trinity Place between Battery Place to Dey Street
9/11/10 from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – No Vehicle Traffic, No Parking,

Cortlandt Street between Broadway and Church Street

Dey Street between Broadway and Church Street
9/11/10 from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – No Vehicle Traffic, No Parking, Open to Pedestrians Only

Fulton Street between Broadway and Church Street
9/11/10 from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Open to Vehicle Traffic, No Parking, Open to Pedestrians

Barclay Street between Broadway and West Street
9/11/10 from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Open to Vehicle Traffic, No Parking, Open to Pedestrians

West Street from Rector Street to Vesey Street
9/11/10 from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction running within the southbound lanes

Park Place from West Broadway to Greenwich Street
9/10/10 from 5:00 p.m. to 9/12/10 4:00 p.m. – Closed

Park Place from West Broadway to Church Street
9/11/10 from 5:00 a.m.. to 9/11/10 3:00 p.m. – Closed, No Vehicle Traffic, Pedestrian Traffic Restricted to Residents and Individuals Conducting Business

On 9/11, the following streets will be open, but no parking will be allowed:

• Murray Street from West to Church Streets
• Greenwich Street from Warren to Barclay Streets
• West Broadway from Warren to Barclay Streets
• Warren Street between West Street and Broadway

Additionally, motorists are advised to switch to mass transit from Wednesday, Sept. 8th through Sunday, Sept. 11th, when street closures and special parking restrictions will be in effect in lower Manhattan to facilitate the annual September 11th Memorial Ceremony.
