A man is facing charges in connection with Saturday's fatal car accident at a Staten Island gas station.
Staten Island prosecutors say Korey Swatz, 33, is charged with DWI and could face other charges directly related to the crash that killed 20-year-old Philip Scrivano.
Police say Scrivano lost control of his car around 2 a.m. in Tompkinsville and crashed into the gas pump of a Citgo station. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Published reports say Scrivano was drag racing.
Authorities say Scrivano's 25-year-old passenger suffered cuts to his head and was taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where he is expected to be okay.
Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the flames.
