A major egg recall has been expanded.
Wright County Egg of Iowa has increased the recall to 380 million eggs over salmonella concerns.
The salmonella outbreak has sickened hundreds of people in four states, and possibly more.
None of the recalled eggs was packaged in New York, but the eggs are shipped nationwide.
Eggs were packaged under the names Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Sunny Farms, Sunny Meadow, Wholesome Farms, West Creek, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemp.
Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration issued Thursday a recall on some packages of alfalfa sprouts from a Brooklyn company, also due to the presence of salmonella.
The sprouts by Snow White Food Products Inc. are sold in 3.5-ounce plastic clamshell containers and have a UPC code of 0-46421-11236-6.
They were distributed throughout the state and region.
Consumers can return the containers or throw them away.
