A new study finds that New York's math and reading exams are flawed.
The state Department of Education commissioned the research and results are set to be released next Monday, showing the tests are not difficult enough.
The study found exams for third through eighth graders aren't accurate indicators of whether the students are proficient.
It also found many high schoolers who pass the Regents English and math exams may still not be prepared for college.
Among other moves to correct problems with the tests, officials say they're going to remake the exams so they're less predictable, longer and more rigorous.
