The big Macy's Fourth of July fireworks show will once again light up the sky over the Hudson River Sunday.

Macy's moved the show last year from its traditional East River location to the West Side to honor the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's voyage.

This year's theme is "American Harmony," and organizers say the show will feature more than 40,000 shells set off from six barges between 24th and 50th Streets.

Leading up to the fireworks, a plane will tow a 30-feet-by-60-feet American flag at 6 p.m. Then, between 7:30 and 8 p.m., there will be flyovers by F-15 fighter jets and police helicopters.

The fireworks will start at 9:20 p.m.

The best viewing spots are along the West Side Highway, but viewers should arrive early because spots fill up quickly.

Spectators can get to the viewing area by entering at several access points along 11th Avenue.

The West Side Highway will be closed from 22nd Street to 79th Street from 4 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday
