A woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday after being shocked on a Manhattan street.

Officials say the woman was crossing the street at Broadway and 35th Street in Herald Square when she felt an electric shock under her foot.

Con Edison crews were called to the scene and found a sewer grate and an FDNY pull box with stray voltage.

The utility says the source came from a manhole at the southeast corner where an underground cable had energized the grate and the pull box.

Con Ed has fixed the problem.

The woman was treated for minor injuries.
