The partner of one of the police officers charged in an alleged attack on a man in a Brooklyn subway station took the stand Wednesday.

Police Officer Noel Jugraj testified that he knocked Michael Mineo, 25, to the ground as he struggled to restrain and handcuff him.

Jugraj was among the officers who chased Mineo into the Prospect Park subway station in October 2008 after they allegedly saw him smoking marijuana.

Jugraj says he didn't witness any of the officers use excessive force and Mineo gave no indication that he was injured and needed medical attention. However, the officer testified that Mineo repeatedly screamed "Y'all violated me," and he said Officer Alex Cruz who is facing charges said " Yeah, you liked it" in response.

Jugraj said he saw either feces or blood on Mineo's finger after he was handcuffed.

"By and large he was very helpful to us he is right there he is present when he is cuffed, he's inches from his head and he saw no misconduct by anybody," said Defense Lawyer Stuart London.

"We'll ultimately convince the jury who is telling the truth here. It is, I believe, clear and convincing evidence that Michael was assaulted," said Mineo's lawyer, Stephen Jackson.

Jugraj also testified that he was angry when Officer Richard Kern later told him he was going to give Mineo a summons instead of arresting him.

Kern is accused of sodomizing Mineo with a baton as Officers Cruz and Andrew Morales looked on.

Mineo claims the officers promised to let him go if he kept quiet about the alleged attack.
