The Brooklyn man who claims he was sodomized by police was cross-examined Tuesday in the trial of three officers accused of assaulting him.

For the second day in a row, Michael Mineo, 25, told jurors how Officer Richard Kern allegedly sodomized him with a baton after arresting him on a subway platform in October 2008, while Officers Alex Cruz and Andrew Morales allegedly stood by.

Mineo testified that the defense's claims that his wounds were self-inflicted are "ridiculous" and has denied assertions he did it for media attention.

An attorney for one of the three accused officers showed surveillance video of Mineo walking normally after the alleged incident, before being helped by two friends.

"I think the important part of the video was that he was standing upright, he was not limping," said Stuart London, Cruz's attorney. "He indicated he took two steps and then he had to be held up. That was clearly another lie."

Mineo responded to the tape, saying he was being watched by police and was waiting for them to leave before he went to the hospital.

The alleged victim also said in the courtroom that at least one of the three policemen were trying to kill him.

When asked whether he expected money in his civil case, Mineo responded, "I expect money, I deserve it. I was violated."

On Monday, Mineo described the alleged attack.

"Something I never felt before, it was pain, pain,” Mineo testified yesterday. “I was disorientated. I saw a white light. I was in pain."

Mineo said the officers promised to let him go if he did not tell anyone about the incident.

He also admitted to being a gang member who has been arrested several times.

Defense lawyers have told the jury Mineo made up the story to win a civil suit against the city.

"I think he's a good actor. I don't think he lost his temper at all," said John Patten, Kern's attorney. "For whatever's his reasons, it was a staged event. And I think it was theatrical, I think it was insincere."

Kern is facing aggravated sexual abuse and assault charges. He faces up to 25 years in jail if convicted.

All three accused officers face reckless endangerment and hindering prosecution charges.
