The border crossing is packed with people moving between the two countries.

Haitians are freely traveling into the Dominican Republic and bus and truck loads full of aid workers and supplies are heading into the earthquake-ravaged region.

Some Haitians are being brought into the Dominican Republic for medical care.

Historically, there has been a lot of tension between Haitians and Dominicans. However, in this circumstance, both sides are working together.

United States Embassy officials say they have turned away hundreds of people looking to catch a ride aboard planes that have already dropped off aid supplies.

Officials have warned Haitians not to try and reach Florida illegally.
