People are up early this morning in the Delmas community of Port-au-Prince, the earthquake-ravaged capital of Haiti.
However, many do not know how to occupy the long, hungry days.
Late last night, at around 10 p.m., a large group gathered in the street and began singing and praying.
While many of the homes in the Delmas community were not damaged by the magnitude 7.0 earthquake, residents refuse to sleep inside because they are so frightened of the possibility of another quake. They say it might take weeks before they feel comfortable enough to go back inside.
One Brooklyn resident who came down to help with the relief effort says she would like to see more construction equipment arrive in the city to remove the debris and start the rebuilding process.
Meminger spoke with former President Bill Clinton yesterday as he toured the region with his daughter Chelsea. Clinton is the special envoy to Haiti.
"If we do this right, that would be the silver lining that would be the reward that in the first time in my lifetime they could escape their history, and since the earthquake, I have talked to all the major donors, world leaders around the world,” said the former president.
Clinton said he would stay in the country as long as possible to make sure Haiti is rebuilt better than ever before.
