Brooklyn Councilman Simcha Felder is resigning to join City Comptroller John Liu's office.
Felder is accepting a post as the new deputy comptroller for accounting and budget.
He's held his council seat since 2002 and won re-election in November.
Felder is no stranger to the comptroller's office. He previously worked there, as well as for the State Assembly and the city Department of Finance.
