With a budget of $1.2 million, space and amenities are on the increase as we continue our search of properties currently on the market in New York City. NY1's Shazia Khan filed the following report. As we continue to house hunt across the five boroughs, our first stop is in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.
664 West 232 Street
Riverdale, Bronx
One of six red brick Georgian style townhouses, this property offers a good deal of space with modern amenities.
"This house is huge. It's 3,664 square feet and its arrayed over five floors," said Brad Trebach of Trebach Realty.
The property has six bedrooms, four and a half baths and a backyard with deck and patio. The house was listed last spring and has been for sale throughout construction which was recently completed. The asking price is $1,245,000. Taxes have yet to be determined.
28-45 212th Street
Bay Terrace, Queens
Over in Queens, we checked out new construction on a quiet tree lined street in Bay Terrace.
"All brick, high-ranch home featuring a spacious living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, four bedrooms, three and a half baths, a finished basement and an oversized garage," said Ann Marie Folan of The Folan Group. "The design is unique because you have the kitchen on the second level. But on the first level you have room for a second kitchen, an office or even a library.
The lot size is 50 feet by 100 feet. It's been on the market for three months and is listed for $1,238,000. Current taxes are $1,600 a year as part of a tax abatement.
140 West End Avenue
Upper West Side, Manhattan
Our last stop takes us to the Upper West Side where we find a spacious sun-filled co-op located on the 12th floor in Lincoln Towers.
"It is a large, open three bedroom, two bath apartment," said Sandy Gansberg of Prudential Douglas Elliman. "The entertaining space and the open family space is a living room, dinging room, kitchen -- all open to each other and great for entertaining. The apartment is south-facing overlooking open city views."
The co-op features a handicap accessible bathroom, a dozen closets and a 36 foot long private terrace. The listing price is $1,225,000 and comes with a maintenance fee of $2,482 a month. It's been on the market for three weeks.
