A Manhattan girl battling leukemia finally got her wish Wednesday after plans to meet President Barack Obama last week were delayed.
Jasmina Anema's family tells NY1 that the six-year-old and her mother finally had their moment with the Commander in Chief, spending time with him at the White House Wednesday.
She was scheduled to attend the annual White House turkey pardoning ceremony through the Make-A-Wish Foundation last week, but was rushed to the hospital after suffering seizures.
Anema had developed Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome, or PRES, as a side effect to one of her medications.
She is scheduled to return to New York on Thursday.
