Former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik's behavior in jail while awaiting trial on corruption charges is raising concerns.

Judge Stephen Robinson did not elaborate on the specific behaviors, only saying that the jail's psychiatric director told him about words or actions “that raised the level of concern.”

Robinson says there is a possibility Kerik would have to waive doctor-patient privilege or undergo a court-ordered examination.

Kerik's attorneys say their client is not taking any medication, but is speaking to staffers on a regular basis.

The former police commissioner is accused of accepting renovations to his Bronx co-op in exchange for recommending the company do business with the city.

He has pleaded not guilty.
