Former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik remains behind bars after an appeals court refused Wednesday to revoke the former law enforcer's bail in his corruption trial.
The three-judge panel gave no ruling and therefore rejected a request from Kerik's attorney that his client be freed.
A judge last week ordered Kerik jailed – fearing he may try to influence witnesses or potential jurors.
Jury selection is set for November 9.
Kerik is charged with accepting renovations to his Bronx home in exchange for promoting a construction company for city contracts.
That company was also under investigation for links to organized crime figures.
Two more trials will follow, one for tax fraud and the other for lying to White House officials.
Kerik has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
