An 18-year-old has pleaded not guilty to murder charges and is being held without bail, after police say he fired the shot that killed a 92-year-old woman in the Bronx.

Police say Jamal Blair admitted he fired the shot that killed Sadie Mitchell.

But, as he was leaving the police station last night, Blair denied firing the shot.

"The police did it!” Blair said. “The police framed me man! Police framed me!"

Investigators say Blair was involved in a fight between two groups outside Mitchell's home in Williamsbridge Tuesday night.
Gunfire erupted, and a bullet pierced Mitchell's window and hit her in the back.

Mitchell managed to call a friend who dialed 911; the 92 year old later died at the hospital.

Investigators say they got a tip that the shooter was someone with the nickname "Fish." Detectives ran the name through the New York City Police Department database, and came up with Blair.

He's due back in court next week.
