The victim of an alleged hate crime in Queens will soon be heading home from the hospital.

The family of Jack Price, 49, says he'll be home from the hospital in a few days. Relatives say Price has emerged from a medically induced coma and his condition continues to improve.

Meanwhile, Daniel Rodriguez, 21, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Thursday. He faces assault as a hate crime charges in connection with the beating.

He is being held without bail.

Rodriguez was extradited to the city after being arrested in Virginia Tuesday night.

Surveillance video shows two men punching and kicking Price to the ground as he was walking home from a College Point deli on Friday.

Prosecutors say they also shouted anti-gay slurs during the attack.

Price suffered two collapsed lungs, a lacerated spleen, broken ribs and a broken jaw.

Another suspect, Daniel Aleman, 26, was arrested Sunday on similar charges.

Residents and gay rights activists are planning a march and rally in College Point on Saturday to protest homophobia and to celebrate diversity.
