Police were looking Saturday for the person who shot and killed a 13-year-old boy and wounded another teenager on a Queens street corner.

The shooting happened front of the Cambria Car Wash on Linden Boulevard in Cambria Heights around 3 p.m. Friday.

Kevin Miller, 13, was shot in the head. He was taken to Long Island Jewish Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A 17-year-old boy received a gunshot wound in the thigh and taken to North Shore Hospital, where his condition was described on Saturday as stable.

Witnesses said the fight started a block away in front of the Campus Magnet Humanities and the Arts High School, when Miller reportedly attended as a freshman, after class let out for the day.

Witnesses said dozens of onlookers gathered to watch the fight, which lasted about 30 minutes before turning deadly. The gunshots sent students and other bystanders running for cover.

"I go to take a look, I get halfway and I see two kids in the street fighting and then I heard shots so I run back to my corner, more than three shots," said an onlooker.

Police said both victims appear to have been innocent bystanders.

Neighbors said there has always a large group of teenagers in the area, and that it had been a hotspot for trouble for many years.

"You got a lot of kids coming from the school, so you need a police presence just to show that they can forget what they're thinking about, getting in trouble," said a local.

As of Saturday evening, no arrests had been made.
