This evening, New Yorkers are invited to get a taste of Union Square in one of the city's largest culinary events.
During the 14th Annual Harvest in the Square, chefs from area restaurants will cook up dishes for more than 1,200 people.
The event is a fundraiser for the park.
"Everything that we do with the money raised at the event goes to landscaping, beautification," said Union Square Partnership Executive Director Jennifer Falk. "We'll also use the money to fund our north-end project, which is the big renovation project going on at the north end of the park."
More than 50 restaurants are participating this year, making it the largest turnout in the event's history.

Tickets cost $115 in advance, $125 at the door.
The event begins at 7:30 p.m.
