Police are investigating a string of attacks on several Fordham University students at an off-campus apartment building.
Investigators say the attacks date back to last month, with the most recent one happening Thursday night.
In one case, a senior was attacked with steak knives.
School security is working with the New York City Police Department to ramp up patrols in the area.
"It makes me a little nervous I'm not from around here I'm from Texas and now that all this is happening I'm afraid to call them and tell them," said Fordham University student Tanner Hartnett.
"Supposedly, Fordham students on the street are being targeted, it's easy to spot them and people think easy money also not being from around here or whatever and also unfortunately some of the students get drunk that also leaves them impaired in terms of judgment," said Fordham resident Edgar Tejaratchi.
Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
