Katz Endorses Yassky For Comptroller

Brooklyn Councilman and city comptroller candidate David Yassky picked up the endorsement Friday of one his former rivals, Queens City Councilwoman Melinda Katz.

Katz finished third in Tuesday's primary.

Fourth-place finisher David Weprin has not yet endorsed a candidate in the runoff, which pits Yassky against Queens Councilman John Liu on September 29.

The two candidates will square off in a live debate moderated by political anchor Dominic Carter next Thursday at 7 p.m. on NY1.
