New York Lottery officials gave Jimmy Groves, 49, his winnings from last month's $336 million jackpot.

Groves, a worker at Madison Square Garden, had one of the two winning tickets from the 12-state Mega Millions lottery.

He said he didn't come forward until now because he needed some time to figure out what he was going to do with the money. His plans now include traveling the world, taking care of his mother and sending his son and granddaughter to good schools.

Groves also says he'll always be a regular New Yorker.

"Well, I mean I still got to pay my rent, I still got to pay my lights and gas," said Groves. "I'm still just a regular Joe like everybody else. It's just that I got lucky."

He chose to take his winnings in annual payments, which after taxes will be about $4 million each year for 26 years.
