Police Seek Leads In Subway Horn Heist

Police are asking for the public's help in solving a recent heist involving a valuable trumpet and flugelhorn on the subways.

Investigators say on August 24th the owner of the instruments got on an N train at the 57th Street Station around 3:30 a.m.

The 29-year-old owner, who sources identify as Matthew Jordell of Queens, fell asleep and at the Ditmars Boulevard station he noticed the black leather case carrying the instruments was missing.

The Flugelhorn is a Swiss, handmade wood model that the maker sells for more than $5,000.

The Bach Stradivarius trumpet also sells for thousands.
