The New York City Police Department's Hate Crimes Task force is asking for the public's help in tracking down a group of men they say have been attacking people in the Bronx while yelling anti-Mexican slurs.

Investigators say there have been three attacks since Saturday, all within a three-block radius in the Fordham neighborhood.

The first happened at 181st and Grand Concourse just before 2 a.m. on Saturday. Police say four men chased down two 24-year-old men and assaulted them.

The second attack happened around 4 a.m. the next day on 182nd at Walton when five men allegedly attacked a 53-year-old man and stabbed him. He's in stable condition.

The latest incident was called in just before 5 a.m. Monday. The 47-year-old victim says four to five men yelled anti-Mexican slurs at him then assaulted him.

Local residents said they are disturbed by the attacks.

"That's wrong, very wrong. To any nationality that's very wrong. We're human beings and brothers and sisters. That's very wrong," said one Fordham resident.

"I think it's awful. I think someone should put a stop to it. We're all human beings," said another Fordham resident.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
