The dean of New York's congressional delegation is facing more financial issues.

An amended report filed this month says Democratic Manhattan Congressman Charles Rangel failed to disclose $500,000 in assets in a 2007 congressional form.

It shows a dozen new holdings, including a checking account at a Federal Credit Union with a balance between $250,000 and $500,000.

The updated forms show Rangel's total net worth could be nearly $2.5 million, almost twice the amount on his original disclosure form.

It is the latest financial issue for Rangel, whose finances and fundraising are being investigated by the House Ethics Committee.

A spokesman for Rangel says the congressman has acknowledged errors in previous forms and committed to correcting any mistakes, and has done so.
