New York City transit is looking for a few good voices to make announcements on city subway platforms.
Subway officials are holding auditions for station announcers, looking for people with excellent diction to give arrival information, service disruptions, and safety tips.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says it is looking to hire from within the company, but are also still accepting resumes.
There are 33 announcers who cover 15 posts, but the MTA budget includes money to bring in 14 more announcers to cover another seven posts.
