The owner of a closed Manhattan art gallery is facing more charges.
Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau says 60-year-old Lawrence Salander has been indicted for a second time -- this time for stealing more than $5 million from several estates, including that of American painter Robert DeNiro Senior.
Salander's attorney says he pleaded not guilty to charges of grand larceny and falsifying business records. The Salander O'Reilly Galleries is also charged.
In March, Salander was indicted on similar charges after he was accused of defrauding art owners and investors.
