New York Yankees fans can now feel free to use the restroom during the playing of "God Bless America."
The city and the team reached a settlement with the New York Civil Liberties Union and Bradford Campeau-Laurion of Queens yesterday.
The Red Sox fan was kicked out of Yankee Stadium last August when he tried to go to the bathroom while "God Bless America" was playing during the 7th-inning stretch of a Yankees/Red Sox game.
The NYCLU filed suit on his behalf against the Yankees and the New York City Police Department.
The settlement includes payment of $12,000 in legal fees.
Because of the role police played in ejecting Campeau-Laurion, the city agreed to a separate settlement worth $10,000.
