A Brooklyn man is facing assault, menacing and weapons charges, after police say he attacked his wife with a meat cleaver Monday.
Police responded to a call for an assault on 67th Street in Dyker Heights Monday morning. That's where investigators say they found the 54-year-old victim with a wound to her head.
Youshening Huang, 53, was arrested at the scene.
"I never heard them fighting or screaming. We have some neighbors who are really old people, they always fight I only hear the voices from them but, from here I never hear something," said one neighbor.
The woman was taken to Lutheran Hospital in critical condition.
