Twelve people are awaiting arraignment after authorities say they used stuffed animals to hide millions of dollars worth of drugs.

Police recently seized more than 30 pounds of heroin worth $30 million from several locations in the Bronx including Pelham Gardens.

They also seized more than $150,000 in cash.

Investigators say the suspects were selling hundreds of thousands of small bags of drugs each week and concealing them inside Build-a-Bear toys.

Neighbors say they never suspected anything was going on.

"It was like invisible if it was happening, it wasn't like something that you would see or know that was going on; lot of different things going on in that building, but we never thought something like that was going on," said one Pelham Gardens resident.

"Whole bunch of little kids running around a park across the street, anything dangerous could have happened, very surprising to me," said another Pelham Gardens resident.

The suspects are charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, conspiracy, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
