Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration is considering a mandate that would force all city employers to provide paid sick days.
The measure is already on the books in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
Milwaukee tried to do the same, but a judge struck down the measure, saying it's unconstitutional.
The mayor said he cannot commit to the idea yet but said his staff is studying it.
