A Staten Island woman convicted of murdering her husband will be sentenced Thursday.
Janet Mercereau faces 25 years to life in prison.
She was found guilty last month in the shooting death of her husband, Douglas Mercereau, in December of 2007.
Investigators say Mercereau, a city fire marshal, was killed with his own gun as he slept in the family's home.
Janet Mercereau maintained she had nothing to do with his death and didn't hear gunshots because she was sleeping with earplugs.
