Brooks, who is best known for the title song of the 1977 film "You Light Up My Life," is accused of raping and sexually assaulting at least 11 women.

According to Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, Brooks lured the victims, who ranged from 18 to 30 years old, into his Upper East Side home and performed sexual acts on them while they auditioned for movie roles advertised on Craigslist and a talent site.

Ten of the 11 women were flown by Brooks to the audition from cities across the country.

He turned himself into authorities this morning and was arraigned later today.

Brooks, 71, has been charged with 91 counts of rape, criminal sexual act, sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, grand larceny and criminal mischief. The attacks allegedly occurred between March 2005 and April 2008.

If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

His personal assistant, Shawni Lucier, was charged with criminal facilitation. She is accused of facilitating the assaults of nine of the victims.

If convicted, she faces up to nine years in jail.
