The Council Committees on General Welfare, Oversight and Investigations, Aging, Health and Mental Health will hold a joint oversight hearing to review the management and conditions of evacuation shelters and the services provided to evacuees during and after Hurricane Sandy. Before the hearing advocates will call for improvements in conditions at shelters and hotels where evacuees are still staying.
