Yankee Official: Latest A-Rod Doping Claim "Completely False"

A high ranking official with the New York Yankees says reports that the team is considering ways to void the Alex Rodriguez's contract over new doping allegations are "completely false."
Published reports said that if Major League Baseball were to discipline A-Rod, the Yankees would look at different ways to get out from paying him the $114 million they owe him over the next five years.
The Miami New Times says it obtained documents that show Rodriguez and other major leaguers bought performance enhancing drugs from a Florida clinic called Biogenesis.
The documents suggest A-Rod may have bought PEDs as recently as last year.
Major League Baseball says it is investigating.
A spokesman for Rodriguez says the slugger denies using PEDs and says the documents cited by the newspaper are "not legitimate" in A-Rod's case.
Rodriguez is currently recovering from hip surgery.
In 2009, Rodriguez admitted to using steroids over a three year period while he was with the Texas Rangers.
However, he denies using any performance enhancers after 2003.
